When we have had any problems, we have been able to get the issues resolve immediately. Over the years of use, we have had to replace a few sensors, but they backed the products with their warranty, and we got replacement sensors right away so we had little or no down time. Cons: The sensors are expensive, but I suppose all of this technology is.

Comments: The DEXIS sensor system is the only one that I have used, but I am very happy with the product performance, design, and service. The software integrates with my other software systems very well. We now have 11 of the Platinum in 5 offices. The rounded edges and the offset cord make it easy and quick to take high quality images. Cons: None Comments: The integration with this sensor into my Dentrix software is so seamless that I think they have set the bar for all sensors. Date Purchased: Less than one year Pros: To begin with, using a digital X-ray system has made life a lot easier compared to film. It is much easier to store and retrieve clinical records. My patients find it easier see and understand the X-ray information. My team finds that the rounded corners on the DEXIS sensor helps with placement of the sensor, particularly in small adults and children where there is not much space to work with. Cons: On a rare occasion, typically due to large tori, we cannot place the sensor properly for an intraoral X-ray and must use our digital panoramic unit. This is pretty rare however, and the DEXIS sensor design works for nearly all situations.
