You can improve the odds by buying everything that appears for the kind of capsule your last capsule belongs to (ability/equipment/item). When having 9 of a capsule, it won't appear in the shop anymore until every capsule in that kind has 9 as well, therefore improving the odds for the remaining capsule to appear!
