It has a number on it (not sure what it is at the moment but will look in a few when I go to the barn).

17 inch Passier Saddle made in Hannover Germany With Knee Blocks Good Condition $300 Firm Has anyone ever heard of this type of saddle? Would it be recommended?

Is $300 a good price for this? (Remember I'm in Ontario) Any input would be greatly appreciated The purple is the e-mail I received from her about the saddle. It's an all-purpose that I've had for over 10years, it's been used on a variety of of horses, with different body shapes.

The last horse to use it was a 16'1 Thoroughbred with lots of withers. I'm also looking at a used Griffith Elite Leather Saddle, $300 used, but it comes with a bridle, reins, 50' girth, and stirrups with leathers. She's only had it for one year and neg. On the price.

Passier all purpose saddle

The Passier is firm on the price and 10 years old.Which would you recommend? I can't find any information on the Griffith saddle, and the only information that I can find on the Passier saddles (without any exact model) is $2000 and up, so I figured it would be a decent saddle. What should I be looking for? She told me I can give it a try first. Return it if it doesn't fit. My only concern is that it's a wide tree, and I know the horse it's going to fit is medium tree. She said she had it on a Thoroughbred with high withers, so it might fit.not too sure, though.

Cookie doesn't have high withers, but she's Paint/Thoroughbred cross and a little on the chubby side, so it might fit okay. Decisions, decisions.lol. I went to look at the Passier saddle, and unfortunately, it was VERY worn I think the price was high for the condition that it was in. I am looking at a different one, just waiting for a reply. I was asking my BO if she'd recommend a saddle for me, or for what to look for at least, and she said dressage. I am just wanting something to play around in.

I prefer the english style, just because I really like the fact that I can feel what my horse is doing without any bulk of a western saddle. I do like the idea of an aussie saddle, so I found this one. I'm not too sure what the quality is like, so I was wondering if anyone uses this particular saddle? She told me it is similar to dressage feel when sitting in it. I can't find very many comments for this particular saddle. Any help is much appreciated!
